The TWOS project (Two Streets of Solar) is developing a private electricity microgrid and community battery in the 'back alley' between Chelsea Road and Colston Park. The Bristol Spaceworks 'Old Coop' will host the equipment and up to 113 homes will have access to the network. See Our Tariffs.
The project has been supported by a DECC grant from the Urban Community Energy Fund, development funding from the Bristol Community Energy Fund and by the RegenSW Innovative Local Energy Models project.
TWOS PROJECT
Out of a total 113 households we made contact with 83 residents (73%). Of people contacted, over three-quarters (77%) of people showed some interest in hosting solar panels as part of this project.
